Robert Vetter, Director, M.A. from the University of Oklahoma, is an anthropologist, educational consultant for Native American studies, and author on Native American Lifeways.  He has been sharing the native experience, which he entered while doing field work among the Indian tribes of Western Oklahoma during his graduate studies, in schools all over the Northeast since 1986.
In addition to his work with children, Mr. Vetter teaches workshops and courses on Native Americans through SCOPE and in teacher centers throughout Long Island, as well as giving lectures at Hofstra University.  He also provided a workshop entitled "Teaching about Native Americans with Eyes Open" at the New England Teacher Conference.   Mr. Vetter has lectured for universities, colleges and other organizations, including St. John's University, the Smithsonian and several museums in Germany and Switzerland.
Mr. Vetter's adult and children's programs, "Journeys into American Indian Territory," have appeared in travel section cover stories in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Houston Post.  Journeys has been the topic of articles in Child Magazine, National Geographic Traveler, McCall's, Cosmopolitan, Ecotraveler, and dozens of other magazines, as well as television shows such as NBC's "Today Show," CNBC's "Travel America" and " Travel Channel News."  Mr. Vetter has also appeared on over 150 radio shows from coast to coast.
